BREACH OF STOCK REMEDIES ACT (Per Press Association—Copyright! WANGANUI, Sep. 19. , ' Farmers Industries, Ltd., was charged in the Magistrate’ s ' Com t with being the proprietors of, a stock, remedy, Lym Lik, and selling it before receiving a certificate of registration. Mr N. R. Bain, for the prosecution, said; that all stock remedies had to be registered before being placed on tlie market, The. department did not press for a. heavy penalty in this case, but wished, to hying before the public the terms of the Stock Remedies ActFor the defence, it was stated that the defendants advertised the remedy for sale, overlooking the fact that the registration had not been made. As soon as the company was aware that it liad committed an offence it withdrew the advertisement. Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M-., imposed a fine of 10s and costs..
