MOSSY CREEK. The Mossy Creek dredge return was 20 ounces 9 dwts. for 127 hours’ work and 8,700 yards of material treated. BLACKBALL CREEK DREDGE. The construction of the’ Blackball Creek dredge (formerly the Brian 80.-u dredge) in Blackball Creek, about two chains away ''from 1 where the , Argo dredge was launched, has been coninleted and on Wednesday and yesterday the plant \was given trial runs, which proved most satisfactory. It is thought that dredging operations will begin in earnest on Monday next, v. hen two shifts will be worked for > start. The reconstruction of the dredge and engineering work was carried out under the direction and personal supervision Mr W. G. McKay, the contractor for the erection of the plant. The dredge will be given about a month s work under Mr McKay’s supervision, before being handed over to the dredgemaster. ALEXANDER MINES REPORT. During the month 260 tons of ore wore crushed for 114 ounces 3 dwts of melted gold. During the month 265 tons of sands were treated for 54 ozs 6 dwts of bullion. Total estimated value £1095.. In addition 6.4 toils of concentrates were saved valued at £L3.
