OU-riIKKAK AT ASHIUIHTON; (I’er Press Association —Copyright). ASHBURTON, September 13. Scarlet, fever has broken out in the country baekblocks. There arc. five eases at - Somerlou, all from two houses,, and one ease in the Ashburton Borough. The County Inspector states the Somerton eases arose from one case, which had not. been reported. Rokeley school has been closed as a precautionary measure. The livecases of scarlet fever from thei Somerton district were notified to the Ashburton County Health Inspector (Mr E. N. Johnson), during the week-encl. The Somerton School was closed today for this week. The outbreak has occurred, among the children of two families, four being of school age, and all were admitted to the Ashburton Public Hospital. The infection was traced to a case which had Occurred in the district about’ three weeks ago, and which was not reported., to, the authorities.-'
