After crossing the Atlantic to spec-, iaily compete against . the. American yacht, Elizpbethu McCbw jubilantly finished first in a six hundred miles race from Cow.es to Rocks, only to find that she ha(J. been disqualified because she crossed the starting line a couple of seconds, prematurely.
KING’S PROPOSAL,
LONDON, August 12
King George 'is considering the building of a new racing yacht to the L. Class rule, with a waterline length of sixty-five feet, and a 5 tonnage of about- one hundred.
Other owners have agreed to build similar yachts, provided they are approved generally. America is tentatively favourable. ,
