POULTRY SOCIETY
MEETING AT HOKITIKA. A meeting of the Hokitika Poultry Pigeon and Canary Club was held last evening, when there was fair attendance of members present/ Mi - R. Herring presiding. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:— Patron Mr i>. J. Evans. President, Mr R. Herring. Vice-Presidents. Messrs J. J. Mclntosh. E. Eade, C. Preston. C. Pfahlert. Chairman, Mr F. Groufsky; deputy chairman, Mr T, Staines Committee: Messrs W. Hall, senr., H. Pierson, H. Staines. J. It. T vlor, M. P. Lynch, J. Lawn, J. A. Jackson, C, Hart, W. Hall Junr., F. Ballinger. G. Macintosh, J. Breeze. Secretary, Mr G. A. King; assistant secretary, Mr T. A. Lynch. Various matters of routine nature were dealt with. It was resolved that if a suitable hall could be obtained a show would be held on July 24 and 25. It was stressed by several members the importance of bolding a show, as -several N.Z. Championships had been allocated to Hokitika this year.
