GIRL MURDERED
TRAGEDY IN WOODS. (United Press Association—By Electric T elegraph—Copyright). NEW YORK, May 17. The body of a girl aged seven years with the throat cut, and the body burned in an effort to destroy it, was found by a young couple who were wandering in some woods near a New York suburban community. A half-hour later a hov of three years apparently her brother, was found in a thicket with his throat gashed, but he was alive. He was taken to a hospital and he is expected to recover. The police said that almost unintelligible murmers by the boy indicated that his mother and possibly his fa+’ had also been slain somewhere iu tho woods. A corp of police, aided by fifty Boy Sc-outs. with flashlights, searched in vain for other bodies, but they found a breadkpife and a pair of scissors, both stained with blood. They also found a bottle a quarter full of petrol. Underbrush had been set on fire in three places, hut green growth and damp caused the fires to Hie quickly.
