DISEASE NOTIFICATIONS FOR WEEK Seven cases of scarlet fever were reported in the Canterbury-West Coast health district last week, according to official returns. Three of these cases were.on the West Coast, where no other diseases were reported, and four m Canterbury. In Canterbury the were throb cases of poliomyelitis (infantile paralysis), two of pulmonary tuberculosis, and! one each of diphtheria, hydatids, puerperal fever, and eclampsia. No deaths from infectious diseases were reported from the West Coast, and. one, from tuberculosis, in Canterbury.
