NEW PLANE

LATEST ENGLISH BOMBER.

LONDON, November 9

The new mass-production methods adopted by the Handley Page works, which are engaged in building machines for the Royal Air Force expansion scheme have been disclosed by the' Air Ministry, partially lifting the veil shrouding the manufacture of the new heavy bomber named the Harrow.

■ The aeroplanes are assembled 1 in a big lay-out costing £50,000, simplifying production and enabling other factories to ' manufacture in the event of an emergency. Many details of the Harrow are still secret, but it is revealed that the bomber has a wing span of 120 feet, and is equipped with two engines giving 2000 horse-power. The guns, in rotating turrets, cover every angle of approach. The aeroplane can b© converted to carry 30 infantrymen. and is camouflaged in brown, green and black, making it almost invisible when flying. It could reach any European capital. 0
