NEW YORK, November 9
The Australian Associated Press learns oil excellent authority that the Matson Line plans to make no special protest against the Australian and New Zealand trans-Tasman shipping laws, and will probably intimate to Washington that cognisance only of a general nature should be taken of the legislation.
This step is believed to be dictated by the fact that in the last year or so the trans-Tasman booking oi the Matson Line has become increasingly unimportant, but its through blockings have increased to a point where they are the dominant portion of the entire business.
