,A warning, have been issued by the Department of. Labour, to those, employers who have failed to comply .with . the provisions of the .Finance Act, 1936. ,and have not restored the 1931 . rates of wages to. their employees, to the effect that further leniency cannot, be extended, by the. Department. Proceedings have already been cpmmenced in a number of cases against employers who have, failed to comply with the law.
In fairness to the large majority of, employers who have already adjusted their fates of remuneration to those operating in 1931, it is considered only proper that employers who have de-j layed making the adjustment should be compelled to do so.
