There was, a smaller yarding of store sheep, it being principally hoggets. Values were generally at late rates. . The spring lambs offered, comprised ; 920 head, this total being ample for ; ■ ...the double sale requirements. There * fwas a good showing of prime quality, .with the usual sprinkling of light weights. There was a strong demand for prime medium weights, which cased, over the concluding stages. Values, however, showed little change from last;, week’s rates. There was an overflow in the mutton section, exceeding 6000 head. These'yfere ‘mostly shorn sheep. The quality generally ,was very good. It was an |rratic sale, opening sluggishly, with a weakening tendency, and a slight finding at stages. . The sale was still; iii. progress up to a late hour. Values, , , ; on the average, appear to he on a par . with those of Ihst week* with 'numerous passings at the concluding stages. 1 There was a heavy yarding of beef, ; nearly‘ 665 head. Some exceptionally prime quality was included, although, : on the average, the entry was Vttoder- ' at e in quality. The market opened cautiously, with erratic skies, hilt there was an improvement when good quality was offered. However, values weakened over the concluding stages. Heavy,cattle were 10s per head easier. - Other vgradCs maintained late 'rates on V the iaVerage. Best quality sold to 34s per hundred lbs good 31s to 335; best heifer beef to 335; medium 1 27s 6d to 30s ; best c6W 30s; and inferior frpm 255. . There was a medium offering of rockers.
