THE .HOKITIKA CLUB The annual n eeting ol" the Hokitika Cricket Club was held last night when Mr F. Stapleton presided over a moderate attendance of member. The minutes of the previous meeting were confirmed and the annual report and balance sheet adopted. To the report mention was made of the success of the past season from this club’s viewpoint. The Senior A team won the Keller Cup, but were defeated by Marist (Greymouth) in the final of the Wingham Cup urter a very good game. By the combined efforts of members, the club’s finances were, now in a much better state than for several seasons past, while assets include a good deal of new material. The following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr J. O’Brien, M.P.; president, Dr T. AV. J. Childs; vice presidents, same as last year, with the addition of Alessrs C. Schroder, F. Freitas, and C. O’Rourke; lion, me member, Mr M. Bowden; club captain, Air A. Thomas ; joint- secretaries and treasurers, F. Stapleton and D. Spence, selection committee, club captain, field capt. and vice-capt.; general "committee, G. Stapleton, A. Adamson and M. Morgan; delegate to Association, D. G. Spence. The following new members wore elected., R. Fea-’-y', L. Morgan, O’Rourke, L. East, J. Burrows, M. Sims, NuttalJ, O'Rourke and AA’ill. The subscriptions for the season were fixed at os seniors, and 2s Cd juniors.

After a <iemission on the possibility of a Si tu day corn net iti-on, the delegate was instructed to support the suggestion. It was decided to nominate two senior teams in th e Sunday competition in the meantime.
