In the House yesterday, consideration of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Biil was continued in committee. ,
Several amendments were moved by the Opposition, ■ but were defeated. A clause restoring compulsory v,arhittration was debated at som e length, Opposition members contending that equal rights were not accorded botlrijeijnplpyers and employees.
A clause restoring compulsion to th e Arbitration Court was hotly contested, the Opposition desiring the Minister to insert a provision in the clause that a union’s registration could be 'cancelled, in the event of its refusing to obey the decision of the' Court.
Hon.H. T. Armstrong said that provision was already in the Bill and the clause was retained by 51 to 17.
