After passing a has on the Grey-mouth-Runanga main highway near Wingham Park on Saturday afternoon, a rental car, driven hv Mr T. Bannister, of Runanga, proceeding to AVaiuta, got into some loose gravel and swerved off the road into the ditch and capsized. Mr W. Howard of Runanga, sustained cuts on the head from flying glass, .which ’necessitated several stitches and shock and was admitted to the Grey Hospital. The other occupants of the bar, Mrs Bannister and two children suffered abrasions and shock, whilst one of the children also '•sustained ;a nasty cut., which necessitated the insertion of four stitches. The car was considerably damaged.

A fracture of the tibia bone of the left leg was sustained by Bobert Robinson, single, of Teremakau, a member of the United Club, whilst playing in Greymouth senior rugby representatives against Inangahua at Reefton yesterday afternoon.
