KINGSFORD SMITH
FUTURE FLIGHTS VISITS TO U.S.A. AND ENGLAND. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 11,'45 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 13. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith intends to leave Sydney shortly for the United -States and England to study rebent developments in aviation on behalf of the Tasman Air Service Development Company. Sir Charles also hopes to obtain a certificate of airworthiness for the Lock head Altair monoplane, which he left in the United States and, to fly it from England to AustraliaHe expects to make this fight in October. He later proposes to fly to Japan on a goodwill tour. EMBARGO ON U.S. MACHINES. (Received this day at 11 a.m ) SYDNEY, July 13.. Mr Parkhill stated it was not the" intention of the Commonwealth to use American flying boats on the Tasman air service, because of the existiug embargo on American machines in Australia.
