Pit INTERS FINED £5 (Per Press Association, Copyright). CHRISTCHURCH, .luly 12. Fines totalling £IO,OOO might have been incurred by D. N. Adams and Co., commercial printers, of Christchurch in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. The firm was charged with publishing pamphlets not hearing the (inn’s name and address. Counsel for the firm pointed out that the law required a minimum‘fine of £5 for each copy not bearing the imprint. The firm had printed 2000 pamphlets and thus was liable to a £5 fine for each one.
Chief Detective Dunlop said the firm had printed pamphlets for the Douglas Social Credit and bv an oversight the imprint had been omitted. All the pamphlets had been called in and the mistake rectified. A Hrte of £5 and costs was imposed by Mr Levvy, S.M.
