Associate-Editor of the “Chattanooga Times,” which is the property of the “New York Times,” sat at his editorial desk to-day and typed out his own brief obituary notice in the regular journalistic style. He then killed himself with a revovlcr. He said that lie took this action because of ill-health. LAWRENCE OF ARABIA LONDON, July 10. Lord Wakefield repeals that Colonel Lawrence of Arabia was the donor of an anonymous fund for the education of the children of R.A-F. officers. He invested fifteen thousand pounds sterling, the receipts from his book. “Revolt in the Desert,” as a benefit fund from which £4,000 lias ‘been expended since 1928. He stipulated that the source should be a secret. The fund will henceforth with the consent of hi* relatives and trustees, be known as the Lawrence of Arabia Educational Fund.
