THEFT CHARGES
MELBOURNE DOCTOR’S WIFE. (Australian Tress Association.) MELBOURNE, July 10. Mrs Edna Eula Patton was to-day committed for trial here on thirteen charges jof having converted to her own use money while she was president of the Caulfield Ladies’ Benevolent Society. Mrs Patton, who is the wife of Dr R. T. Pat-ton. who is Doctor of Science at. Melbourne University, denies all of the charges. She said in her evidence that she. considered the prosecution of her to be a spiteful action. She had never retained any money from the society.
