N.Z. ASSOCIATION MEETING (Per Press Association, Copyright). CHRISTCHURCH, July 10. The annual meeting of the council of the New Zealand Bowling Association was held to-day, when representatives of 22 affiliated centres attended. A request for the representation of each centre on the council was discussed at .length. It \.Vs agreed that under the council’s present constitution, all of the centres were represented directly or indirectly. The request was therefore, not granted.
The smaller centres, it was stated felt that they were entitled to representation. On the other, hand, it was argued that, if all of the centres were to be represented directly, tin? council would be of an unwieldy size. It was also stated that it was desirable for the sake of the control of the annual tournaments, to have c-ity representatives on the council as the tournaments liad to he held in those cities where there was enough greens. The motion was adopted that the centres be informed that, in the opinion of the council, each centre now has representation.
