TRADE MISSION
JAPANESE DELEGATION TO' NZ. (Per Press Association, Copyright). WELLINGTON, July 10. From the latest news received, it is likely that the commercial and industrial goodwill mission, which is now being arranged in Japan, to visit Now Zealand and Australia, will not tour Australia first, as had previously been arranged but will arrive first in New Zealand. It is likely to arrive here at about the middle of August. Mr Ken Sato, editor of the “Osaka, Mainiehi” who is in Wellington at present as the Japanese people’s goodwill representative said: “The mission will lie led by Ambassador Plenipotentiary Katsiiji Debuchi, one of the leading diplomats of Japan, who lias only re-: cently returned from the position of ambassador in Washington.” From information that lie has received the present intention of the mission, Mr Sato said is to leave Japan on July 15 by the Kitano Maru, and to arrive ai Sydney on August 14. Almost immediately upon arrival the mission will come to New Zealand, arriving in Wellington on about August 20. It. will stay in New Zealand until the end of the month.
