HIGHLY PRAISED COMMENT IN LONDON PRESS. (Supplied and released by New Zealand Government). (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, July 9. The “Daily Telegraph” (refers to the New Zealand loan as a striking success. The “Times” states the successful outcome of New Zola end’s operation should have a stimulating effect on the gilt-edged market. The “Morning Post” says a good impression has been created in favour of the loan by the fact that the New Zealand Government was reducing its debt on the balance.
The “Evening News” says the feature of interest on the stock market to-day, was the start of dealings in the New Zealand loan at -J per cent premium.
The “Evening Standard” says the issue was a big success. Large subscribers to the New Zealand loan received 23 per cent- of their applications. Dealings opened at ;} per cent premium.
