OBITUARY
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, July 7. 'l'he death lias occurred of Lord Ampthill. He was born in 1869. He was an Oxford- Hewing Blue and \later filled several adminstrative positions, being in 1904 temporary Viceroy of India. Hg was a prominent. Freemason. Lord Ampthill’s death 00-inoided with a motor accident resulting in serious injury to Guy Nickalls, with whom Lord Arnpthill won the silver goblets at Henlej in 1890-92. The heir to the barony is now the fourteen-years’ son of Mr John Russell, whom Lord Ampthili attempted to exclude from succession following Mr Russell’s unsuccessful divorce action.
