TRIBAL SQUABBLE
NATIVE’S DEATH STRANGE INQUEST PLANNED. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 10-15 a.m.) DARAVIN, July 8. ; Reports have reached here that an aboriginal was killed during a tribal squabble on the Daly River 150 miles from Darwin, and the local coroner is preparing to hold one of the strangest inquests.
A party, consisting of the coroner, the protector of the aborigines, and police prosecutor, leave for mly River to take evidence from the aborigines. The coroner’s court may be held in the jungle beside the river, in swamps, or anywhere aboriginal witnesses can be found.
