From the yacht Astrahad a steward was washed overboard and drowned, and Sopwirth’s famous yacht Endeavour was dismasted during the racie for . J Class yachts at Southend regatta today, the ;first event in British waiters in which the American.yacht, Yankee, was competing. The Endeavour was leading when the accident happened. The Yankqfe reached home ahead of Valsuda, the only other .competitor, and was awarded the rade.
