BRIBE ACCEPTED
U.S. ARMY LEADER DISMISSED.

WASHINGTON, June 5
Found guiity by a court-martial of having accepted a £SOO loan from a lobbyist interested iri securing an army contract, Colonel Alexander Williams has been dismissed from the army. He was also found guilty of giving false evidence over the contract. He is a veteran of two wars, and has been 40 years in the army. This is the first court-martial since General Mitchell, head of the Air Force, was stripped of all rank for insubordination and resigned 10 years ago. Wilio.ms was decorated for bravery in the Spani.sli-American War, and again for meritorious service as Chief Quartermaster for the American Army in France during the Great War.
