THE CREW PICKED UP

VICTORIA, (British Columbia), January 21.
A wireless message stated that the crow of the Hokuman Maru which was in distress west of Cape Flattery had abandoned the ship. The President Jackson is standing dy to pick up the lifeboats. A later message from the president Jackson stated that the crew had been rescued. The Hokuman Ma’-'u was abandoned in a sinking condition. The president Jackson is proceeding to Victoria.
