AN APPOINTMENT (Per Press Association.— Copyright.) DUNEDIN May 2. Air R. B. Tennent, Fields Superintendant of the Dapartment of Agriculture for Otago and Southland has been appointed Director of the Fields Division in succession to Mr J. W. Deem who has retired on superannuation. Mr Tennent has been in charge of the Fields Division in Otago and Southland for several years. He came to Dunedin 14 years ago, after special courses of study in Scotland, ' which followed '.thirteen years in the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture. A BOY KILLED. DUNEDIN, May 3. 'Leslie Turner, aged six, was playing hoops on the roadway at- Clinton, when he was struck by the mudguard of a. motor-car, dying from his injuries shortly after.
