REINSTATEMENT SOUGHT

WELLINGTON, May 2

The largest number of applications for reinstatement to the Rugby. Union game from Rugby League that the New Zealand Rugby Union lias had at one time was dealt with at tonights meeting of- The Management Committee. A majority of the 113 applications came from Auckland and Wellington, but Canterbury, West Coast and North Auckland figured prominently on the list. “All League players must he now back in Rugby,” remarked one member of the committee.

The secretary, (Mr. A. E. Neilson), said he had a new cabinet installed to cope with this largo number of applications. Among the reinstatements from Rugby League to Rugby. Union approved were the following West, Coast ones.—B. J. K. Griffiths, T. D. Duffy, 0. G. Freitas, J. Burridge, P. Keating, A. Featherstone, G. Ryan, G. E. McLeah, R. K. Culling, A. M. Gibson, L.
