DISTRESS RELIEF
BOARD'S GRANT OF £IOOO, (Per British Official Wireless.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 2. Lyttelton Harbour Board decided to-d-v to give £IOOO for the relief of distress in the city and the surrounding districts this winter. This grant, which is the same amount ias that given by the Board last year, 'will be divided into two sections of £SOO each. One will go to a fund being raised by the Canterbury Progress League, and the other amount will be distributed in districts in the Board’s representation area las decided by a special committee of the Board,
