The weather was fine, with a strong head wind in the ■straight. Tile, attendance was. excellent,, and the. track in. good, order. The tote investments amoiinted to £.42,701J (win £16,610j, ; place £26,151) as against £39,069. last year, a total for the meeting of £113,951, compared with. £109,7285 last year, Australasian Handicap,—4/5 Erin’s Princess 1, 1/1 Girvan 2, 5/5 Prairie King. Won by a. neck; half a length; Pronto Bingen was fourth. Times: 4.32 3-5, 4.28 4-5. 4.30.
Hornby Handicap.—3/3 Avernus 1, 1/1 Indianapolis 2, 4/5 Gunfire 3. Won by two lengths,- a neck. Silver de Qro was fourth. Times: 2.46 3-5, 2.43 4-5, 2.47.
Middleton Handicap.—l/1 Worthy Queen 1, 4/2 Todcl Lonzia 2, 5/5 Huon Voyage 3. Won by half a length; three lengths. Louis Bingen was fourth. Tnies: 3.22, 3.21 15, 3.17 4-5. Lytteßon Handicap.—l/1 Royal lirusus 1, 10/10 Probationer 2, 3/2 Bjue Mountain 3. Won by two lengths; tliree lengths. Gay Gordon wg s fourth. Kelp was bracketed with Royal DrusUs. Times: 4.27 2-5, 4.27 4-5, 4.26. Free-for-A11.—2/2 Red Shadow T. 7/7 Kingcraft 2, 1/1 Harold Logan 3/ Royal Silk was bracketed with Red'Shadow. -Red Shadow moved up at the mile, and led into the straight. from Harold Logan.
