Tlie New Zealand horses, Easter Time* Orapai unci Counter Play, were produced for the first time at Victoria Park races to-day, but all were beaten.
ASHLEY REED HURT MELBOURNE, May 24
Four horses engaged in the- Novice Handicap at Mentane to-day fell.. All were uninjured., The only jockey to be injured was A. Reed, rider of Dooen, who was hurt -nr the back, substaining abrasions and shock. He was taken to hospital.
