WELLINGTON, May 22

The granting of probate of tne will and codicils of George: Glover,' late of Wellington, was opposed before the Chief Justice in the Supreme Court by Grace Adeline Dunn, widow; and Jane Helen Cowles, married woman, oh the grounds'that the testator lacked testamentary capacity, and ; that he had been subjected to undue influence.

The testator left surviving him nine children —three daughters and six sons —the daughters being Mrs Galbraith (plaintiff), Mrs Dunn and Mrs Cowles (defendants). The testator died at Wellington on July 26, 1632. Records showed - that •in his lifetime, he had made a number of different wills. 1 • .

It was set out in the statement of defence that from December, 1925, until October, 1928, the testator resided alone with Mrs Galbraith, and it was alleged that the execution of the 1928 will and codicils had been procured by the undue influence of Mrs Galbraith- j

Replying to His Honour, Mr Wiren, solicitor for the plaintiff, agreed that the case resolved itself into a diSpuYfe' between the three sisters. Evidence was called with a view l to establishing that the will and • codicils were probably executed; that the testator was of sound mind, memory and understanding; and that he was not coerced by Mrs Galbraith into executing the will. The hearing will probably last for several days.
