TOO MUCH BEER
WASHINGTON ARRESTS DECLINE
WASHINGTON, April 16. The, actual arrests- for drunkenness in the City of Washington'have decreased by 30 per cent , since beer reappeared. It appears that more drinkers are satisfied with the milder alcoholic beverage than those who formerly drank throat-searing concoctions called gih and Scotch. The curious fact emerges, however, that the younger drinkers are the least appreciative of beer. They represent the generation bred in the United States sinco Prohibition began. They never knew genuine legal beer.
