Minister of Internal Affairs approval of estimates for’ the 1932-1933. ceived. v Superintendent's Report. s The Superintendent, Mr J. J. Intosh, reported as follows: Since your . meeting held in March' last, our Brigade has had an easy time, only having two small fires. for that, period. . About 2 a.m. on April 17th we were called by No. 1 bell to a fire in the County Office. On arrival, we found the fire had a strong hold in the large meeting room. We very soon had two good leads of water on, and were able to confine the fire to .the one room, and so made a good save. Cost of repairs, to building £llß, and furniture £75. Cause of fire, I would saj', incendiarism.

On May 24th about midday, we were called to a fire in Revell Street at the back of a shop belonging to Mr Yarrall. When we arrived, we found that some willing helpers, with a small hose, had the fire under control. That part of the building was under repairs and practically no damage was done. Cause of the fire, faulty chimney, (accidental^

We also had two or. three false alarms. I must ask your Board to place an order for 300 ft of 2jin. hose, with necessary couplings.

We are running the West Coast Demonstration here on November 11th, and as funds are short and times are hard, we would be glad if your Board would help by granting a small vote to our funds. I might say that the Brigade very much regretted the fact, that the visiting members of your Board were unable to attend our annual b-all this year. Conditions generally, from a Brigade point of Hew, are as usual. Tt was resolved to obtain the 300 feet of hose asked for. A vote of £5 was passed towards the demonstration. The secretary reported receipts -£365 4/2. payments £397/15/5; credit balance £B2/11/-.—Received. Accounts us scheduled # passed

for payment. The secretary reporteu up dicrepancies in the watchman's telltale clock.
