SERIOUS BREAK NOT LIKELY. IS OPINION OF HON McLEOH. (Per Press Association Copyright.) BaNNEVIRKE, Aug. 27. In an interview with a “News ” representative, the Hon A. D. McLeod-, M P. for Wairarapa, regarding the present Parliament, he said that it could be accepted as quite correct that members of the Coalition Cabinet were working together harmoniously, but it was well known that strong, yet friendly, differences of opinion existed as to the best means of overcoming the effect of the depression. He did not think that grounds existed for stating that any serious break might take place between the political parties supporting the Coalition.. If, later, a rupture occurred, it was felt sure it would not be along the old lines of Reform and United, but along lines of town v. country. Unfortunately, said Mr McLeod, a considerable section, of the city press is responsible for assisting towards this rupture, and political labour was taking every advantage of;,the city v. country feeling which, it was useless denying, had rapidly developed since the general election. In. the absence of details regarding the Ottawa decisions, be was not prepared to say more than that it would.be a pity if all sections supporting the Government did not unite to support the steps taken there, and cement economio-unity of empire, and assist world terade. ’ ;
