AUCKLAND, Feb. 17

The Union steamer Wairuna is held up because of a dispute between the company and the crew over the rate of exchange between New Zealand and the United States. The ship arrived on Saturday from the Pacific Coast ,and the crew were paid on Monday. In the Wairuna dispute a settlement was reached this afternoon. The terms wore not announced. The vessel sailed this evening for Napier.
