LONDON, February 17
The British Government has sent to Mr Lyons, Prime Minister of Australia, the new British, tariff schedules. The British Government is suggesting the commodities on which Britain would like Australia to reduce the Australian tariffs as a quid pro quo for Britain’s preferences. These schedules follow extensive preparation, including Government consultation with the British Government’s trade representatives in the Dominions, and they cover the whole range of the commodities on which further preferences would be of benefit to Britain’s exports to the Dominions.
