ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.

CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 17.. It was mostly a slow sale at Addington live stock market to-day.

There was a. larger yarding of fat cattle, mostly local consignments. The market was easier. Sales were ha:/J to make. Best heavy prime bullocks sold to £ll l2s Gd, prime £8 5s to £9 15s, handy weights £5 15s to £6 15s, medium £4 7s 6d. Best cows sold to £8 12s Gel, prime £4 2s Gd to £5 2s Gel, light front £2.

There was a large yarding of store lambs. With few exceptions the quality was medium and inferior. Values were easier. It was a dragging sale.

There was a medium entry of fat lambs, chiefly light weights. The market was easier, export buyers showing no keenness. Extra, heavy prime lambs sold at 21s Id, prime heavy 17s to 19s, prime 13s 6d to 16s 6d, medium 11s Gd to 13s, light from Bs. There was a full yarding of store sheep, mostly ewes. It was a dragging sale.

The fat sheep comprised mostly owes. Best wethers met a better sale at an advance on recent rates. Other grades maintained last week’s values, Best prime heavy wethers sold to 19s 4d, prime heavy lGs’to 18s <xl, prime I*3s to los Gd, medium and plain 10s to 12s 6d. Best heavy owes sold to 14s 7d, prime heavy 10s to 12s, prime 7-s Gd to 9s, light from 4s. There was a smaller yarding of fat pigs. The market was firmer, medium weights selling more freely. Porkers sold from 30s to 32s 6d, heavy 33s 6d‘ to 3Gs 6d, choppers -£2 to £6 3s Gd, haconers 37s Gd to 46s Gd, heavier 50s to 52s Gd, extra heavy to £3 2s 6d. Store pigs were easier.
