Evidence that- a quarrel preceded the shooting of the candidate Reynolds and the detective McGeehan was given when the ' man Teddy was charged with murder of the two former at the Ballinamore Barracks.. Air Francis MeNamee, a relative of the accused, Leddv, in his, evidence, said that the candidate, Reynolds, accused Leddy of canvassing against him, which charge Leddy denied, after .which blows were struck, and there were mutual threats to kill made. Reynolds exclaimed that he took a wrong path in order to get Leddy his pension, and that he would “break” him. Thereupon Leddy got a gun and two shots were fired. Leddy was remanded.
