BILL COMINC THIS SESSION. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association) THAMES, June 15. Arehibishop Averill preaching at Thames last night, on Bible-in-Scnco's stated,' that in denying children religions instruction the people were robbing Cod. ’* l 'o professed to bo a- democratic Christian country, and yet in the education system there was no recognition of God. The opposition in the past to such instruction came from Roman Catholics and teachers. The former’s opposition was now withdrawn and n hill was coming before the House next session which asked for the inclusion in school hours of religion instructions.
In a recent plebiscite it was shown that over eighty per cent of trie parents were in favour of the Bible-in-Sehools.
