GISBORNE, June 5
Six weeks ago a girl aged fifteen years and ten months was missing from her home near Gisborne, and the police were informed. It was siibse(pintly ascertained that she had secretly married a youth aged seventeen years and two months, and the couple had loft on a honeymoon to Sydney. After arriving there, they were soon in financial di'ficultias, and their fares had to be sent by their parents to tiring them hack. The sequel came in the Magistrate’s Court to-day before Mr Harper, S.M., j wlii-ii the youth, whose name was old - : eroll to lie suppressed, was charged with making a false declaration on a I marriage certificate, where as be gave ; bis age" as twenty-two and the girl’s 1 age ns twentv-one.
