AUCKLAND. June 2

Fatal injuries were received by a young footballer. Frank Herbert Kruse, during a Rugby match at Taillion near AYellsford, on Saturday Kruse was playing for Tnuhoa .against the United team, and received a blow on the head in the vicinity of tlie eyes from an opponent’s knees. He took no further part in the game, Kruse apparently recovered, hut later in the evening, after his return home he became worse. The district nurse at AYellsford was summoned and medical advice from Am xland was also secured, but Kruse died at midnight. An inquest was hold and a verdict of accidental death due to internal haemorrhage, following a Fracture of the base of the skull, was returned The deceased was not married.
