SPIRITUALISM
DISCREDITED BY DOCTOR. [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.-—Copyright.] LONDON, December. 4. In view of the fact that so-called spiritualistic man infestations are at present the centre of a controversy as the outcome of Schneider’s seances, the view that the mauifestatibns were, in effect, the workings of mail’s subconscious mind is argued by Doctor Bernard Hollander. Dr Hollander asks: “ AYlien a man is murdered and the culprit is not found, why does not the victim’s ghost appear and give information to the mourning relatives? If there are spirits and if there is any love of humanity in the other world, their manifestations should not require the intervention off* uneducated professional mediums ; together with their commonplace interpretations.” Dr Hollander declared that there has not 'been a single message received which could throw any light on any of the great problems affecting humanity.
