SIR JOSEPH WARD. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Dec. 2. The Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, is reported to be progressing well. A young man named Allan James Mitchell was killed in Dunsandel yesterday evening when his motor cycle collided with a car. A pillion rider named Hampton was injured. DAMAGES CLAIM. WELLINGTON, Dec. 2. Arthur ' Cornetti'/ an elderly man, a builder, of Petone, to-day claims in the Supreme Court, £34 10s 6d special, and £450 general damages, from Bernard Jackson Liez, of Petone and Aladelina Liez, his wife, .in respect of her separate estate. Plaintiff was injured- by being knocked down by Liez’s car while Mrs Liez was driving, and negligence is alleged in a failure to keep a proper look-out or exercise proper care and in not being competent to dlrive inasmuch as she did not possess a driver’s license. U The defence denies negligence .and 'alleges contributory negligence in riding on the wrong side of the road, failing to keep- a proper look-out and turning the' bicycle into the side of the carl. •
