She enunciated nicely, though the vowels, might be broadened. She. had a nice conception of the seena. Her deportment was dignified and her singing very pleasing. M iss Bald interpreted the recitative nicely and sang the aria beautifully. A few of the vowels might be broadened, and the appoggiaturi were, not correctly sung. He would have liked to see a little more animation in Miss Docherty’s performance on page 5. One would expect some excitability there. She interpreted well, hut the final phrase was much too abrupt. Miss Bond’s recitative a little too stilted. Her voice was beautiful iii quality. The aria was nicely sung hut the phrasing \t\as not always smooth. She had slight trouble with the Italian test.
