WESTLAND SUB-UNION. The Sub-Union Executive met last evening. Present: —Messrs H. AI. Coulson (Chairman), AlcAlanaway, McGregor, Breeze, AlcDonald, Stafford, Williamson, and Heenan. An apology was received from Air Howat. The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approved. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE. , From West Coast Rugby Union in reference to Nelson game and notifying disqualification of Caulton.—~Received. The Chairman moved that the SubUnion felt it had suffered an injustice through the Nelson match being played at Greymouth, and would like confirmation of the statement that Nelson Union had 7 expressed a wish to have the game played at Greymouth. Seconded by Mr Willianfson and carried. Accounts as scheduled were passed for payment. Requests Ifor permission to play matches were granted to Kiwi seniors to play at Brunner on Saturday, Kiwi juniors against Westport, and Grey Technical v. State School, also on Saturday. Air Williamson submitted a report on Newman Shield rules conference hold at Westport. AIATCHES FOR SATURDAY.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS CHAAIPIONSIIIP. ‘ At Westport on Saturday, Westport defeated Hokitika in the filial of the West Coast Primary Schools Championship, by 24 points to 4. ThaWestport lads were a long way a heavier fifteen than the visitors, who nevertheless put up a good game, and they had several promising lads in their team who will be heard more from in the days to come. AH Hammond -had his Westport lads coached up well, he having taken a great interest 'in their football team since bis stay there. For Westport, Hardic (2), Cargill (2), Neil and Roberts scored tries, Cargill converting .two and Hardie one try. Roberts, the Hokitika captain, who was conspicuous throughout,- drop-kicked a nice goal soon after the start. Coyle and Guthrie also shaped well for the visitors.
