In the finishing match, interrupted by rain, Misses Watson and Michel) again Remonstrated their superiority over the English women’s doubles play by defeating Misses Jacobs and Nutlmll. Miss Watson then played her hard match with Miss Wills and shortly after appeared with Miss Michell for tlie finals.
In tlie doubles against Misses Covell and . Shepherd Miss Barron Watson obviously tired and Miss Michell was erratic at the net and their opponents took the first set handily but the former recovered to win the second and continue their rally to break through to victory through C'ovell’s service in the final game.
