AIR JENKINS M.P. ELTHAM, Nov. 26

Mr 11. R. Jenkins, M.P. for Parnell, was accorded a- civic reception this morning. Tie was the first white child horn in the district and spent his early life in Fitliam. Mayor Bridger presided at a gathering of about sixty citizens. Speeches congratulating the. guest on his election to Parliament were made by Mr Bridger, Sir AValter Camcross (Speaker of the Legislative Council), Air AYilkinson (M.P. for Egmont) and Mr Al’Guiness (Deputy Chairman of the County Council). Air Jenkins expressed gratification at the heartiness of his reception and returned thanks for their congratulations.
