The “Daily Express” states that, in the event of the death of General Booth, the secret envelope nominating his successor cannot he opened till tin* High Council meets. General Booth’s family are anxious to emphasise the point that they in no way impute unkindness and distrust to those resnoiisible for summoning the council. ’I hey recognise that the convenors have given their lives in the cause and solely desire the welfare of the Salvation Army.
