ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.
CHRISTCHURCH, July 11
At Addington stock sales to-day there was the usual attendance and good entries. . Fat Cattle.—There was a. heavy yarding including a consignment from tho North Island. Mostly medium weight cattle were* yarded. Prices on par with last week. Extra prime steers realised £lB to £24 15s, prime £l4 lps to £lO 15s, medium £ll 10s to £l3 15s, light £9 and £lO 10s. Heifers: Heavy made £9 10s to £l3, medium £7 15s to £S 10s, others £6 to £7 os. Cows: Prime £9 15s to £l4 15s, medium £S 5s to £9 10s, light £5 10s to £7 ss.
Fat Sheep.—A small yarding, including a good consignment from tlie south. Prices were on a par with late rates, firming ns the sale progressed. Best wethers made up to •19s -Id, and best ewes 43s 4d. Other prices were the same as last week. Store Sheep.—There was only a very small entry of lambs. Best three-quar-terbred realised 28s to 335, crossbred 23s to 24s 7d, halibred 22s to 24s 7d. Wether lambs made up to. 24s 4d. Adult sheep.—A. small entry. Halfbred ewes to 35s Sd, crossbred to 35s Cd, 2,4, 6, and 8 tooth light shearers to 3Gs 3d; Romney cross to 34s 3d; failing mouth to 30s Od; wethers to 26s 9d.
Pigs.—A medium yarding of pork whs entered. The utility was iriogular. There was a small entry of bacon pigs, with many good sorts included. Choppers were £2 to £5 18s 6d, light pork 29s to 355, medium 38s to 445, heavy 45s to 555. Bacon: Light £3 to £3 10s, medium £3 15s to £t ss, heavy £4 10s to £0 9s. Average per lb 7d.
Store pigs.—A large entry, with a good demand. Wennevs 7s to 15s, stores 14s to 28s, large to 345.
